Our babies have really enjoyed exploring the outdoors this week. We have been digging for worms, investigating our herbs in the sensory garden and making mud pies in our mud kitchen. The children have really been involved with these activities, learning new words and learning about their environment.
This week the Bluebells have had lots of fun exploring the mud kitchen and have also been mark making with water and brushes. We have had a week themed around birds and have been putting out some bird feeders that we have made and made some Robins with toilet roll tubes.
Poppies have enjoyed a week learning about shapes through activities and play. We have practised some fine motor skills with threading around a circle, using the iPad to trace over circles and have been looking at shapes in the environment also. The children have loved a whole range of stories this week. We have shared Julia Donaldson stories and stories about different emotions.
