Last Autumn, all Year 6 pupils were entered into Young Writers ‘Peculiar Pets’ poetry competition as part of an activity in their English lessons. Young Writers is a national writing organisation, that hosts many national creative writing competitions throughout the year. If selected, pupils had the opportunity to have their work published in a book, and 28 pupils in Year 6 were chosen!
The top 10 entries, alongside being published, had the opportunity to receive a prize and I’m delighted to say that out of 15,000 entries nationwide, it has been announced that Olivia Bartram in Year 6 has been chosen as one of the winners! She received a fantastic goody bag of prizes and we are so proud of her achievement! Well done, Olivia!
