Toddlers having fun with cars and safety

Babies and Bluebells have had a great start back after the Easter break with lots of fun activities and learning experiences. From painting tracks with toy cars to creating penguin habitats, the children have been exploring their interests and expanding their imaginations. Meanwhile, Poppies have been busy with observational painting and digging for treasure and dinosaur eggs in the garden.

Babies
We hope you all had a wonderful Easter Break. We have got straight back into nursery fun with activities based around the children’s interests which have been vehicles and messy play. The children have all loved our new Happyland moving train track, it has been a huge hit. We have used toy cars to paint tracks, enjoyed some colouring, rolling cars down pipes in the garden and getting messy with shaving foam. On St Georges Day the children made a flag by sticking red paper on the card. They all understood the directions very well on where to place them.

Bluebells
Welcome back everyone after the Easter break! We hope you are all well and have had a lovely time making lots of wonderful memories! Bluebells have loved being back seeing all their friends and telling us all about their holidays, days out and adventures. Since being back, we have done a variety of activities based on the children’s interests as well as extending on their play by inspiring them to use their imaginations in different ways. This has included, using different materials to make birds to represent signs of the beginnings of spring, making cloud dough and exploring our senses, listening to facts about penguins and creating what we think the North Pole looks like to celebrate penguin day, and learning about habitats and using materials and boxes to create dens, caves and other homes. We have used our knowledge and understanding of what some people do in professions, and used that in play to help others. Bluebells are doing amazingly at counting and wanting to learn more about shapes and games revolving around this. They are all doing fantastically with their progress and development! Well done everyone! Have a lovely couple of weeks, and we look forward to showing you what we’ve been creating to celebrate the King’s coronation!

Poppies
Hello, we hope you all had a lovely Easter break, the children have been very busy since being back in Poppies. The children took part in some observational painting, they used some flowers as their centre piece and really looked at the different parts of the flower and the colours they needed to create their beautiful flowers. The children have also used their amazing imagination skills this week out in the garden, digging for treasure and Dinosaur eggs. This started with a couple of children with a good idea and ended with lots of children joining in and finding different animals parts such as shark teeth. Good work Poppies.
