Wow!! What a fantastic few weeks we have had since returning back from Half Term! The children have got back into the swing of things so quickly and they have all come back with super smiley faces!
Pre-Reception have been working really hard on their sound and number work, impressing us all with their excellent knowledge! We have also been practising our tripod grasps, forming beautiful letters and writing their names.
Over the last week we have been talking all about Wales and the patron saint St. David as they are celebrating it this week. The children have learnt the significance of the Daffodil, as it represents good luck, new beginnings and it is the flower of Wales. We have been practising our numbers and colours by doing a beautiful colour by numbers Daffodil and the children were absolutely fantastic at following the instructions and keeping within the lines, which can be very tricky. We also gave our Welsh dragons some wings and practised writing “Happy St. David’s Day”.
