Nursery News

Posted: 13th January 2023

We have all come back from the Christmas break and settled back in well. The children have all enjoyed developing their fine motor skills with some fun activities and have been very creative with arts and crafts. We have all loved being in the garden and making the most of the rain, splashing about in the puddles, having lots of fun!

Babies
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and new year. The children have settled back into nursery well and we have welcomed some new friends who are also doing very well.
We have been exploring lots of toys independently such as the puzzles and the role play area where some sharing is being learnt. Outside, we have enjoyed puddles and exploring our environment. We have also been busy sticking and painting which the children have loved.

Bluebells
Welcome back everyone and happy new year! We hope you all had an amazing Christmas and enjoyed celebrating with your families and loved ones. We have all loved hearing about your Father Christmas experiences and about all your wonderful presents you’ve all received. Bluebells have all come back with lots of energy and eager to learn. We have enjoyed cooking cakes, biscuits and mince pies which have been yummy. The children have all enjoyed developing their fine motor skills activities and been very creative with arts and crafts. We have all loved being in the garden and making the most of the rain, splashing about in the puddles, having lots of fun! Bluebells have asked for messy play and textured play a lot these last couple of weeks and have especially enjoyed play-dough slime, oats play, shaving foam and lots more. We look forward to sharing it all with you on tapestry. Have a good couple of weeks everyone.

Poppies
We have all come back from the Christmas break and settled in well, we have been welcoming some new friends to Poppies over the last couple of weeks and the children have been very good at helping them to settle in and learn our daily routines. We have been very busy making Happy new year pictures and using cuttings from our Christmas tree to explore in our sensory tray with different coloured sand. We have also been developing our cutting skills by creating penguin pictures and using letters from our name to create our own snowman.
