With the beautiful frosts this week and Christmas fast approaching, we are definitely getting into the Christmas spirit at Nursery. There has been lots of fun Christmas crafts (involving plenty of glitter!) and the children have loved doing some Christmas baking and of course decorating the tree. We’ve all wrapped up warm and enjoyed our time in the garden doing lots of keeping warm activities and playing in the leaves.
Babies
We have dusted off the glitter pots and have been busy with Christmas craft. We have also been painting and sticking to make some wonderful pieces and get us in the Christmas spirit. Outside, we have been enjoying the mountains of leaves, moving in them and listening to them, looking at all the colours. Building and sensory toys have also been enjoyed.
Bluebells
With the weather getting colder and Christmas fast approaching, winter is definitely upon us. Bluebells children have been doing a variety of acting out stories and exercises out in the garden, keeping nice and warm. We have found a keen interest in playing games such as “shopping list”, “fishing” and lots more. They’ve had lots of fun and really enjoyed themselves. We have been looking at some activities on the children’s interactive pad, following instructions on “find the missing object” and fitting shapes together. Everyone has done amazing! All of Bluebells children have loved decorating the big Christmas tree and finding new things to hang up on our colourful mini trees too, along with baking and lots of other fun crafts.
Poppies
Christmas is almost here! Poppies have been completing a variety of Christmas crafts. Reindeer, Christmas trees, Christmas playdough and sequencing Christmas activities. We have also cut out pictures for our Christmas wish list and written letters to Santa.
