It was fantastic to be able to welcome everyone back to the traditional Holmwood House Pre-Prep Sports day, after a false start the previous week!
The children started the day with 4 different carousels each lasting 30 minutes: jumping, throwing, obstacle course and traditional running races. The children moved from activity to activity and progressed towards a Bronze, Silver and Bronze award that will be presented in an assembly before the end of term.
The children worked very hard in their lessons to improve their speed and the raes have been put together as a result of this. The children were therefore running in heats with children who were approximately the same speed as them.
After the much anticipated picnic lunch the children (including Nursery and Pre-R) all took part in the fun races including: Giddy Up; Bounce that Ball; Carry on Threading and the Obstacle Race. There was a lot of fun had and some great resilience on display – well done to everyone!
