It was with great excitement that the Holmwood House Summer Fête made its return after the Covid hiatus. The sun shone on us, as the opening ceremony got underway. This year the opening ceremony included all the children and was a Lap of Hope, celebrating the 2022 Commonwealth Games while raising money for Sport Relief. The money raised will help tackle inequality, improve mental health and help young people to survive and thrive in the UK and abroad. The children will be wearing ‘Power Pledges’ they create in class which reflect their hopes for the future.
Once the children (and Mr Bond) had completed their lap the fête was officially opened and their was a real buzz around the school as everyone got involved with traditional stalls and enjoyed food and live music. A huge thank you to FOHH for organising such a great event and for everyone who kindly volunteered their time to help out.Categories: News Events
