Reception are taking part in 30 Days Wild, organised by Essex Wildlife Trust, which is the biggest nature challenge in the UK and aims to bring people closer to nature.
The children are going to be completing challenges throughout June and their playground and the Spinney have proved excellent environments to take up the challenges. So far they have been learning about the importance of trees/ the difference between deciduous and evergreen (hugging a tree); making clay butterflies (make a sculpture); pressing leaves to create bunting (petal pressing). They still have lots of exciting things to try!
