On the Friday of half term Year 5 set off with their rucksacks packed to the ancient woodland of Boughton Woods for their 2 night bushcraft adventure. From the moment they arrived they immersed themselves in the adventure and all got into the spirit of the camp.
They were amazed at the wonderful safari-style tents that they stayed in and all the activities encouraged team work and gave them all a chance to learn some new skills, whilst having fun in a exciting creative environment.
Highlights of the trip according to the Year 5s included: the food – particularly the salmon that they were taught to debone and the smores; the fire making skills they learnt; Tribes got Talent competition and finally the First Aid skills they were taught after a plane “crashed” into the camp.
They all came back exhausted and filthy but bursting with enthusiasm and wonder about their outdoor adventures.
