On Wednesday 25 May Holmwood House held a traditional street party to celebrate both the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and our own Centenary!
The children all made some Talbot Dog bunting (which has now been rehoused in the Talbot Room); the weather held for us and everyone chipped in to provide an amazing selection of food, as well as a spectacular Union Jack cake baked by the kitchen staff. The atmosphere replicated that of the previous street party we held for the Diamond Jubilee, which we have found some photos of from the school’s archive and it was a fun way to commemorate these two milestone events; the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and Holmwood House’s 100th anniversary.
