Thursday 3 March was World Book Day and we celebrated in true Holmwood style: Pre-R to Year 4 came dressed up as a book character and we had some fabulous creations, as you will see from the photos. Years 4-8 were challenged to work with their form and tutor groups to create either a door or window design in their form rooms to celebrate the spirit of world book day in whatever way they would like. The children worked on this in school and put their teamwork and creative skills to use and all came up with some wonderful designs. The winners were Year 4, both classes worked together and they created a fabulous design which spanned both classes’ windows, which gave a visual synopsis of James and the Giant Peach.
It was a fabulous day for all the children to spend some time thinking about books and sharing some of their favourite stories.
