This week has been Children’s mental health week so we have been using masks, books, mirrors and role play games to talk about feelings and have even enjoyed some yoga to relaxing music. We have also been celebrating Chinese New Year learning this year was the year of the tiger, they had great fun copying some Chinese numbers.
Babies
Puzzles and our reflections have been of keen interest recently to many of the babies. We have enjoyed activities based around textures where some of the children made some lovely dream catchers with wool. Last week on Chinese New Year some of the children tried out spring rolls. This week has been Children’s mental health week so we have been using masks, books, mirrors and role play games to talk about feelings and have even enjoyed some yoga to relaxing music. Some of the children also explored the paddock and enjoyed sitting on our tractor.
Bluebells
We have been talking about healthy teeth and practising good oral hygiene with our tooth care kit in Bluebells. We have been experimenting mixing colours and painting pictures. The Bluebells have continued to enjoy colour activities and built towers with the multi link cubes. We have also been mark making with the whiteboards.
Poppies
The children have had lots of fun in Poppies. We celebrated Chinese New Year last week. The children enjoyed listening to stories about Chinese New Year and learning this year was the year of the tiger, they had great fun copying some Chinese numbers. We have been exploring the paddock this week where the children enjoyed using their physical skills on all the different equipment. The children have also shown incredible imagination and balancing skills this week by walking across the plank and trying to not disturb the crocodile sleeping nearby.
