We’ve been very creative at Nursery this week: we’ve had sea creature craft, discovered dinosaurs and created some impressive hairstyles in our role play area. We’ve also spent time looking at healthy living and read lots of our favourite stories.
We have been busy enjoying activities based around our weekly themes of sea creatures and colours. We have had various sticking craft, colouring, matching games and tuff trays. The children have enjoyed our new felt under the sea story scene too where we have talked about the different creatures as we have stuck them up. Outside we have been enjoying the coloured foam bricks to build towers, the sand tray and the slide has been a favourite.
This week the Bluebells have had lots of fun. We have been sharing some of our favourite stories in the book corner, we love Peppa Pig. We have also explored what tracks we can make with the cars and the paint. We then used our fingers to make marks too. The Bluebells have been very interested in dinosaurs and have enjoyed hiding some dinosaur fossils in the sand that we have made with the salt dough. We have also been using our imagination and caring for the babies in the home corner.
The children have had a busy couple of weeks. We have been talking about healthy living and how it’s important to eat healthy foods to stay healthy. The children enjoyed doing a range of different activities to support this including reading stories and colouring in different fruits and vegetables. We have also been very interested in numbers, trying to match the correct number of shapes to each number, we then extended this by adding the numbers together to create a bigger number. We have also turned our role play area into a hair dressers, the children have enjoyed pretending to be hairdressers and creating some incredible hairstyles.Categories: News Nursery
