Years 7 & 8 dusted off their tartan and threw themselves into a fantastic Burns Night celebration. The haggis was ‘piped’ in and toasted formally with Burns’ Address and a tipple (apple juice in shot glasses). They enjoyed a wonderful Burns Night supper and poems were recited. Ms Topliss read Tam O’Shanter and Mrs Bradbury recited A Red, Red Rose recited between the courses. For the first course they enjoyed: haggis, ‘neeps and tatties. The second course was a delicious beef wellington and they finished with raspberry and chocolate trifle. It was all duly devoured and enjoyed so much, seconds were had! The evening was suitably topped off with some very energetic traditional Scottish dancing.
