The children have settled back in really well after our Christmas break. The cold weather has meant a lot of exciting things to find and explore around the garden including icy puddles and frosty leaves which we have all enjoyed looking at and feeling. We have been enjoying a range of activities including messy play, sensory tuff tray and painting using our hands, as well as taking part in lots of imaginary play.
Babies
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We have been delighted with how well the children have settled back in and we have also welcomed some new friends this term who have settled very well also. Bluebells
The Bluebells have settled in really well this week from being off on our Christmas break. We have explored the ICT resources and used our imagination with the phones and computers. We have also explored the sensory tray feeding the dinosaurs. We have been keen to search for bugs using the magnifying glasses and done mark making with the paint pens.
Poppies
This week in Poppies we said welcome back to all the old and new children after the Christmas break.
We had fun exploring the ice that formed in the garden. We talked about the weather and the winter season. We also started our healthy theme for the month where we will discuss about how to keep our bodies and minds healthy in a range of ways. Poppies had fun measuring themselves this week, checking who is the tallest in the room and looking after the toy babies, washing them and getting them dressed.
