This week the Reception children have been busy making new friends, it has been lovely watching them play, laugh and talk to one another.
What an exciting first two days we have had! The children have been exploring their classroom environments, both indoors and outdoors. Dressing up and playing outside on the scooters have been popular activities. They have had to learn all our daily routines as well as learn how to find resources they need, how to tidy up after themselves and how to share and take turns with their peers. The children have already been awarded show ups and stickers for their enthusiasm. New friendships have been formed and all the teachers have got to know all the children really well already! What a busy time we have had.
A big thank you to all parents for supporting your child to settle into school throughout the first couple of days. We are really pleased with how well the children have settled in as they continue to get used to the new routines. We think there will be some early nights to bed tonight, and that’s just the teachers!
