It has been a very imaginative week at Nursery: there has been lots of dressing up, pretend cooking, cake shops selling mud cakes and some excellent driving skills on show. Back to reality and we have really enjoyed seeing that the produce in our vegetable patch is nearly ready to eat.
Babies
Babies have loved looking at our first produce from our vegetable patch. They were very interested in the peas in the pod, even wanting to eat them. We found a runner bean seed that had started to sprout out of the soil. We could see the shoot and the roots. A great insight into how things grow.Â
BluebellsÂ
This week in Bluebells we have been engaging in lots of imaginative play indoors and outdoors. We have made food for our friends, dressed up, read stories to dolls and given dolls a bath.
PoppiesÂ
Our Poppies have enjoyed a range of construction activities this week. We used this time to discuss being kind and working together as well as taking turns and sharing. The children have also made use of the garden resources within their play cooking up some mud cakes and using the materials to make cars to travel to the cake shop. What fantastic imaginations they have.Â
