From the Headmaster…

Dear Parents

As we come to the end of a busy half term, I was reminded of the amazing job our support staff do to make our school flow so smoothly.  The front office staff are, as you may already know, amazing!  They turn their hands to anything at the drop of a hat and are endlessly professional, friendly and helpful.  Additionally the finance team and health and wellbeing assistants further ensure that all aspects of school life are covered to a high standard.  Our wonderful catering team deserves much praise, too and the fact that our children love their lunches so much is testament to them getting it so right.  As the sun has now started to shine, we look around us and are reminded that our grounds are so beautifully tended to by our maintenance team; ready for the children to enjoy their sports and play.

A school is not just a place of learning or a place of work, but a community; a collection of people with a shared vision; a shared sense of purpose; a shared goal.  At last night’s performance of the Years 6 and 7 production of We Will Rock You, it was wonderful to see that sense of community come together for the first time in a while.  It was so lovely to see parents greeting each other like long lost friends, and to share in the hard work and endeavours of their children and their children’s staff.  We look forward to some events later in the term where the whole community can come together including the Summer Fete on Saturday 25 June from 9.30am.

I hope you are all able to enjoy a lovely half term in the promised sunshine and warmth and I look forward to a final 5 weeks of term.

With best wishes
