Pre-Reception and Nursery News
Babies have enjoyed our read-a-thon, looking at various books and listening to stories as part of a sponsored event. Thank you to our parents for their support.
Our caterpillars have also been a source of interest as we have watched them grow and have enjoyed lots of activities around caterpillars and butterflies.
This week we have been practising our cutting skills and enjoyed cutting some spaghetti. We have also loved exploring the mud kitchen and digging in the wet mud for worms. We have also used our imagination and been making yummy sandwiches in the role play. We have been mark making with stencils too.
We have had a wonderful week looking at life cycles. We were inspired by our ever growing caterpillars and the discussions around their changes to come so we have explored other cycles such as within diagrams the children have coloured and a frog life cycle tuff tray where the children enjoyed getting messy and enjoying textures. Poppies have also been talking a lot about sounds and have enjoyed our floor puzzle, working well as a team.
Pre-Reception have been busy finding lots of bugs and insects in the Spinney during their outdoor learning session. We found millipedes, centipedes and lots more. We also made dens and built bridges to make a mini assault course.Categories: News Nursery Pre-Reception
