This week in Phase time, we had the pleasure of being joined by Mr Jason Alexander, who is the founder of Rubbish Walks, which is based in Ipswich. It has a group of volunteers nicknamed ‘The Wombles’, who go on litter picks and organise beach cleans. Jason showed Phase 3 the importance of always putting litter in the bin, so rubbish doesn’t accumulate and damage the environment.
He showed us pieces from his Rubbish Museum, with one piece dating back to the 1920s, as well as some old cans and crisp packets. Finally, he showed us some of the pieces of Rubbish Art he has created. This is a really fascinating charity and look out for a rubbish-based competition coming to you soon.
