Dear Parents
Thank you for facilitating your children’s Off Screen Day yesterday. We have already seen some super examples of creativity and endeavour and look forward to receiving photographs and videos.
We have one more week before the half term break; I don’t quite know where the time has gone! The proposed return to school date of 8 March still looks the most likely scenario and we will confirm this with you once the Prime Minister clarifies the national picture in due course. Once these details are confirmed, and as this is likely to be during the normal term time, I wanted to provide you with advance notice that, to enable the staff to prepare the school fully for the safe return of the children, there will be a single day when online learning provision will be suspended. The date for re-opening has not yet been fixed, but I can assure you that parents will receive two weeks’ notice in advance of this date and the online suspension date. We will, of course, also give full details regarding the testing regimes in place for affected pupils and staff.
Thank you to those of you who have been in touch regarding fees for this term whilst we have been in remote learning. I would like to assure you that this is at the forefront of our discussions and we will communicate our decision once they have been finalised. Any adjustment to fees will be made in the form of a credit against the summer term fees, and we will communicate further on this once the date for reopening is fully confirmed. If you are experiencing any difficulties regarding payment during this time, or would like to set up the monthly payment option for fees, then do please get in touch with Fiona Marlow, our School Business Manager, who would be happy to help.
Thank you to those of you who have already completed the online learning provision survey. If you have not yet done so, please complete this by 12pm on Monday 8 February. A link to the survey is HERE.
Wishing you all a very relaxing weekend.
With best wishes
Alexander Mitchell
