The snow was here, the Christmas trees are up, the lights are on, and Fi, in the front office, is working her way through her rather extensive collection of Christmas jumpers! As we look ahead to the final week and a bit of the autumn term, I wanted to reflect on what we have achieved. Without tempting providence, we have had a full school all term. There has not been a single case of Covid-19 in our pupil or staff community, and where some families have had to isolate for precautionary reasons, this has had minimal impact on the children’s learning. So, let’s please keep ourselves safe and continue to observe the measures in place through to the end of term. Despite the excellent and exciting news about vaccinations, I suspect it will be some time before this allows us to lift the current restrictions in place but we will monitor this going forward.
The children have been busy recording and videoing their performances, socially-distanced in the loud singing parts, for the online Christmas performances which will take place on Wednesday 16 December at 10.30am and 11.15am. We very much hope everyone will tune in for these bits of festive fun. Please note the staggered collection times for the Tuesday 15 December as presented in yesterday’s bulletin.
Wishing you all a very good weekend.
