Year 3 learn about volcanoes

This week in Year 3 the children have been exploring how volcanoes are formed by finding out about how the tectonic plates under the earth’s crust can move. We then created our own mini volcanoes using baking soda, white vinegar, washing up liquid and red food colouring. The results were ‘explosive’ and the expressions on the children’s faces was a real delight!
