Some of our Year 4 and 5 pupils enjoyed their first taste of our Overnight Stays on Tuesday evening. Their introduction included a tour of the boarding house after supper and a first look at the dormitories, which generated lots of excited discussion about how they would decorate their room and personal space once they started staying and some puzzled expressions when shown the ‘pay’ phones – the reaction to those museum pieces certainly made the staff feel old!
Selecting Tuck was definitely one of the highlights of the evening, followed by some fun activities and games led by Mr Cook and Mr White in the sports hall. The buzz from the pupils at collection time indicated we may have a full house for our first Cinema Night for Year 4 & 5 on Monday 5 October (the sign up email will be sent out early next week).
The first opportunity for Year 6 pupils to resume staying overnight will be a Cinema Night on Monday 12 October. Do visit our website and view our virtual tour to learn more about overnight stays at Holmwood House. It truly is a unique opportunity for our Year 4 to 8s to experience independence in a supportive and safe setting.Categories: Overnight Stays
