Challenge Weeks
Here are some photos of the Year 8s cakes this week following the judging of their ‘Home’ Bake-Off competition. They really did very well indeed and surpassed what we were expecting!
Final Night of Boarding
The Last Night of Boarding for Year 8 has become a real tradition at Holmwood. Although we have not been able to offer boarding this term, we were keen to offer the Year 8s a final boarding experience. We decided on the theme of ‘Social Distancing’. After watching the Y8 production all together, we had a delicious barbecue followed by a mixture of chill time, sharing memories and ‘socially distanced’ challenges. Some were more successful than others, but there was a lot of laughter! We then settled down to hot chocolate, snacks and a film. After a very busy but fun evening, we ‘slept’ in the open under tarpaulins. The boarding team has really enjoyed the company of the Year 8s this year and it was lovely to have been able to be part of one of their final memories.
