Babies
This week the babies have enjoyed a range of sensory, exploratory activities. We have made good use of our tuff tray, using our senses to explore pasta, rice, salt and oats. The children seemed to enjoy this tactile experience very much, while a lot was taste-tested too! We learnt to identify different colours with our rainbow-coloured playdough and on a very hot Friday we had the enjoyable experience of looking for the animals we had hidden inside some ice blocks. We also hid bugs and insects in shredded paper for the children to find and identify.
Bluebells
In Bluebells this week we have been developing our physical skills, from cutting out a picture to drawing over some tracing patterns. In the garden we have practised balancing on one foot and rolling the big tyres around.
Poppies
This week in Poppies we spoke about animals, making butterflies using the symmetrical painting technique and working together to create a bug hotel in the garden. Poppies also had lots of fun playing football in the garden and exploring the mud kitchen
