From the Headmaster….

Dear Parents

I hope you all had a lovely half term break and that you are fully back into the swing of term, which has already got off to a very fast pace.

With several variations of winter weather in one week, it has been remarkable that there has been so little disruption to games fixtures.  Our teams have been characteristically resilient and it was a pleasure to celebrate in assembly and later meet in my study, this week’s Team of the Week; the U13 Hockey As.  Well done, boys!

I visited St George’s School in Harpenden, Hertfordshire earlier this week.  St George’s is a state boarding school offering free tuition but paid-for full boarding.

We are looking forward to the Years 4 & 5 production next week.  Mrs Mitchell is working hard directing the hilarious and highly entertaining ‘What a Knight!’ to which you are all invited next Friday evening at 7pm.  The production week will see rehearsals transform into performances with every child involved in some way or another. Break a leg!

Tonight is the first FOHH Quiz Night in a very long time.  We have an excellent number of families attending and I am looking forward to putting them through their paces from the Question Master’s chair!  My thanks in advance to the Friends for their ever-up-beat approach, hard work and commitment.

Alexander Mitchell
