Dear Parents
Thank you to those parents who completed the communications survey earlier this term. I hope you have all had an opportunity to read the email I sent out yesterday highlighting the main findings. My thanks to everyone involved in the various areas of communication at the school. We would like to strengthen to role of the Bulletin in parents’ minds as the ‘GO TO’ document for things you need to know such as dates, reminders, list of emails sent, etc. The Newsletter is full of ‘nice to know’ stuff which helps give you a flavour of the school week. We hope you continue to enjoy both publications.
Next week is Survey Week! You will receive the annual school survey on Monday and the closing date with be the following Sunday (9 February). We hope that everyone will take the opportunity to feed back to us about the wide range of aspects covered by the survey. We use this data to inform our planning and to influence our next steps in the School Development Plan. We are working really hard to ensure our ongoing approach to improvement and development bears fruit and look forward to receiving your feedback.
I also wrote to you about our exciting plans for cricket in the summer with the addition of Alan Butcher to our coaching team. Former head coach of Essex, Surrey and Zimbabwe, we look forward to his expertise and guidance in helping to shape our girl and boy cricketers.
We have seen lots of prospective parents in the past two weeks and a couple of pupils will be joining us before half term. Our first ever ‘Little Steps’ music and movement group saw 16 mums and tots on Thursday; it was great to have such happy little visitors to the site. Our Open Morning this term is on Friday 20 March, so please do let any friends and family know.
Have a lovely weekend!
With best wishes
Alexander Mitchell
