From the Headmaster….

Posted: 14th October 2019

Dear Parents,

Last weekend’s Bellevue Rugby Festival was a huge success, not just because the boys presented themselves on the field as a superb team but because of the excellent sportsmanship and 3Cs on show throughout. I was hugely impressed by their approach and saw them today in my study to thank them. My thanks also to the staff responsible for making it such a success, mainly Mr Cook and Mr White for organising the whole event, Mrs De Voy for ensuring the boarding aspect of the festival was as brilliant as it was and to various others who contributed to the success (Miss Godman, Mr Lesiak, Tina and her team, Shadows, etc).

Our U11 girls did us proud too. As you will read later in this newsletter their success in Hockey was superb and, again I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them in my study today to congratulate them. Well done.

I was delighted to announce the senior positions of responsibility in the Elements this week. Our new Heads of Element are Georgie C (Air), James B (Land) and Hamish A (Water). Congratulations to all three and please see Page 2 for the full list.

It was good to see so many Year 7 & 8 parents at Thursday’s Parent Workshop on Revision and Study Skills. I hope to put my slides and possibly a video of the event online in due course.

Songfest looms large and bright on the horizon!

As I write, preparations are underway for this annual Spectacular.  Enjoy!

With best wishes

Alexander Mitchell
