Dear Parents,
As I write, I am awaiting the arrival of our visiting Bellevue schools who will be taking part in the first Bellevue Rugby Festival. Our own team members are extremely excited; not just about the rugby, but about playing hosts to our visitors in boarding and on the field. The festival starts at 10am on Saturday morning and should be finished just after 12pm. Anyone who would like to pop along to watch will be most welcome.
We have had a number of prospective parents visit the school over the past few weeks and today’s Open Morning was a successful event. I was delighted that some of our Parent Reps could attend to help make our visitors feel welcome. The steady flow of prospectives bodes well for the future.
Our staff training session this week focused on the planned launch of Spelling Frame, our new approach to supporting our pupils’ spelling skills. This online programme aims to enthuse children from Year 2 upwards in an interactive, responsive framework which will help children follow spelling rules develop strong skills. Miss Prescott write to parents recently about this initiative and it goes live immediately after half term.
With best wishes
