Dear Parents
Several members of our staff team have been visiting other Bellevue schools in the past week. Mr McCormack and Mrs Slater took part in a Learning Review at Skippers Hill Manor Prep School in East Sussex. Mrs Bradbury was part of the team at Bruern Abbey School in Oxfordshire at the end of last week and I was due to lead a Learning Review team at Forest Prep School in Timperley, Altrincham but after a heavy downfall of snow the school was unfortunately closed on Wednesday and I made my way back by train to the south. These peer-on-peer reviews give schools the opportunity to reflect upon their areas of focus and to benefit from the professional dialogue generated between like-minded professionals. We look forward to welcoming a Learning Review team to Holmwood later this term.
The cold snap led to a number of matches being cancelled this week, however our Shadows have at least glimpsed a little of the white stuff! The weather is due to improve next week with temperatures rising a little. However, parents are reminded that all pupils should have suitable clothing in school to protect them from the elements.
Our Year 4 pupils are looking forward to their visit to the O2 Arena on Monday next week where they will take part in the annual Young Voices extravaganza. Parents will be travelling up to support the children in the concert which takes place in the evening with an estimated 23,000 people in attendance. I hope everyone has a great time!
With best wishes
