Pupils in Phase 3 have returned to find some new additions to the library. We have some lovely new books on display about nature, which we received earlier this year as part of a box full of goodies from the Don Hanson Charitable Schools Programme (it also included seeds and resources to build a bug hotel). Excitingly, we also have a brand new children’s encyclopedia, the first published by Britannica in ten years, which contains stunning facts and art work.
The office within the library has been converted into a quiet reading room for pupils to access during breaks and lunch, an idea suggested by the School Council last year. Thanks to FOHH for buying the colourful bean bags to help make this a cosy reading space.
