Pre-Prep Christmas Productions 2021

It has been a joy this week to watch the performances of the two, much anticipated, productions from the Early Years and Pre-Prep. The Early Years put on a sparkling performance of “The Christmas Star” and Years 2 and 3 had us all enthralled with their very entertaining and ambitious  production of “The Elves and…

Children in Need 2021

We had an amazing Wacky Hat Day in aid of Children in Need.  Wacky hats were chosen to emphasise everyone’s individuality and differences.  The fact that Children in Need day fell at the end of Anti Bullying Week was very apt and our Year 8 Anti-bullying Ambassadors delivered an inspiring “One Kind Word assembly.  It…

We were delighted to see the return of the Annual Holmwood House Produce Show on Friday 17 September. As always, the parents and pupils astounded us with their wonderful entries. The Jubilee Hall was full of intricately decorated cakes, wonderful fresh produce from allotments and gardens, sweet jams, potent spirits and creative, artistic entries. The aroma…

Bellevue STEAM Collaborative Day

Making banana pianos and designing their own eco-themed game using Scratch were just some of the challenges put to a group of Year 6 children, who took part in a fantastic STEAM collaborative event. They put their design, research and teamwork skills to the test and they really enjoyed hosting other Year 6 children from Skippers Hill and Elmhurst.

Pupils are asked to design a cover for next year’s three diaries that reflects experiences at Holmwood House. We are pleased to announce the winners: Prep Prep Reading Log – David B Juniors – Eleanor B Seniors –…

Year 8 Formal

Glamour and style was the order of the evening on Wednesday. Our Year 8 pupils and staff had a fantastic time, starting with a mocktail drinks reception on the sunken lawn with plenty of opportunities for photographs for the proud parents. The dining room was transformed (thank you to Mr Bartlett and the office staff)…
