Friends of Holmwood House are our parents committee, they host a wide range of social events for students, parents and the wider school community throughout the school year and are active in supporting many aspects of school life. All the funds they raise are invested into projects that enrich the experience of students at Holmwood House.
Social and Fundraising Events
The committee coordinate a number of fantastic events in the school calendar including the Summer Cricket Festival and Fete, Black Tie Balls for the Parents and for the senior school students, the Colour Run and the Fireworks Party which is a free event for all Holmwood families. You’ll also find FoHH supporting school events like the Produce Show, Sports Day and the junior school Easter Egg hunt.
Second Hand Uniform Shop
FoHH also manage our second-hand uniform shop. Located on-site and open every Thursday morning the shop carries a wide range of second-hand uniform items and is a popular amenity for Holmwood families. The volunteers in the shop are always happy to offer uniform advise and ensure students are fully kitted out.
Investing in Enrichment
The funds raised by FoHH are all reinvested back into the school, through projects designed to enrich our students experience at Holmwood. Recent donations have included play equipment in each building’s outside spaces, the Formula Goblin go-kart kits used in one of our after-school clubs and a full set of African Djembe Drums used by the music department. They also fully fund our incredible fireworks party in November.
