Year 2 studied Henri Matisse’s ‘Cut Outs’ created when he was ill and bed bound, he described his impressionistic way of working as ‘drawing with scissors’.  They designed organic shaped templates to give an impression of leaf shapes and carefully considered the colour, composition and placement of their shapes.
