With STEM week approaching, it is important to remember that ‘thinking outside the box’ is required of Holmwood pupils daily. This is demonstrated during the Airfix activity. Pupils have followed instructions, struggled and found answers to build tanks, planes and the Titanic. Outstandingly good fun and great demonstrations of independence. Well done!
Cookery – Tostados! Over the last two cookery sessions, we have been making our version of “Tostados” – a hot toasted wrap with a delicious assortment of fillings. Musical Theatre Year 4 and 5 are having great fun in Musical theatre so far this term. I’ve been so impressed with how they’ve got stuck into a lot more dancing and acting in class due to the COVID restrictions on singing. Well done everyone, it’s so great to be back.
Friday night cookery was a fantastic feast of fabulous flapjacks made by pupils in Years 7 and 8. They had to recall and reproduce the recipe from the demonstration they had watched the week before and had to try and add something new….so in went triple chocolate chunks which really raised their bakes to the next…
