Jonathan Collins is the Director of Studies and Head of Secondary Mathematics at Holmwood House. He has a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Exeter, a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Brighton, and is in the process of completing his MA in Educational Leadership and Management through the University of Keele.
Jonathan has worked in a variety of educational settings which include state, international, and independent settings at secondary and GCSE level. He has taught GCSE Mathematics, GCSE Statistics, and A-level Mathematics for over 15 years. In his previous post in senior leadership, Mr Collins had the responsibility of supporting students with their application process to obtain full scholarships for prestigious sixth form colleges including Eton, Westminster, City of London, Forest School, and Chigwell.
Jonathan heads up our World Scholar’s Cup programme which has seen him lead trips to Azerbaijan and Qatar, and he also received the coach of the year award in 2025.
