Emma brings nearly two decades of experience teaching Science in secondary schools and colleges, with a particular passion for Chemistry. She holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Bath and a PGCE in Secondary Science. Over the course of her career, she has held senior leadership roles including Head of Science and Director of Science for a multi-academy trust.
With several years’ experience as a GCSE Chemistry examiner, Emma is well-versed in what success looks like at exam level. She places strong emphasis not only on scientific knowledge—critical in a subject where core content accounts for 40% of the GCSE—but also on developing students’ exam technique and confidence with past papers and mark schemes.
Emma also has a special interest in pastoral care, is our Designated Safeguarding Lead and recently completed a Level 3 in Child Mental Health.
