ScienceYear 1 had a fun science afternoon this week, making parachutes and testing them from the top of the fort. They discovered that the larger parachutes were the best. A peg near the bottom of the strings slowed the parachutes down and allowed them to fall gently to the ground.

We are delighted to be opening our doors to Year 5 pupils from outside of Holmwood House for our maths and English camp over the summer. Year 1 have been learning about symmetry during maths sessions this week. The children used natural materials that they found in the Year 1 outside area to make symmetrical patterns, and were very resourceful in their use of sticks, leaves and pieces of bark.(Please see our Photo Gallery for more photos).
