Holiday Camps

At Holmwood House, we offer an exciting and diverse programme of holiday camps and courses that make full use of our extensive school facilities in Colchester. This provides busy families with high quality childcare for a selection of weeks in the school holidays.

The camps provide children with opportunities to stay active, explore new interests, and build friendships in a fun and supportive environment.

Our facilities, such as our theatre, swimming pool, sports hall, expansive playing fields and creative arts spaces, host a wide variety of activities led by both Holmwood staff and visiting professionals. For example, the British Theatre School has made use of our theatre to deliver inspiring drama workshops, while Piri Piri Cricket regularly uses our grounds and sports facilities to run high-level cricket coaching sessions.

These holiday camps are open to Holmwood House pupils as well as children from other schools, fostering a sense of community and broadening children’s experiences.

Holmwood Active Easter Holiday Camp

WHEN: 30th March – 2nd April; 7th – 10th April; 13th – 16th April
LOCATION: Holmwood House School
COST: £50 a day. £5 per session for early and late drop off, a 20% discount is available for a second child.
TIME: 9am-4pm each day (Early sessions from 8am and Late session until 5pm available)

We are delighted to invite your children to our Easter Holiday Camp. This Easter, we have something very special for your children! The first week of our Easter camp will feature our French Connection – children and staff from our partner school, Ombrosa in Lyon, France, will join Holmwood pupils for a week full of fun, friendship, and cultural exchange. Highlights include a trip to the zoo, inflatable adventures, swimming, and a range of fun activities.

Week 1 French Connection: highlights of this week include the chance to new friends from France; a trip to the zoo, inflatables
Outdoor Activities: From multi-sports and swimming to thrilling outdoor adventures, there’s something for every child to enjoy.
Creative Crafts: Arts, crafts, and cookery sessions allow children to explore their creativity and take home something special.
More Activities: Each day is packed with themed excitement, giving children the chance to discover new interests and have a blast!
