Our Team

Edward Bond has been Head since September 2021. He was previously Head of Lower School at Haileybury where he taught for 20 years. He was educated at Wellington College, then went to Durham where he did a History degree and PGCE. More recently, he gained an MA in Educational Leadership at Bath. He was previously a senior examiner in history for the IB, as well as being involved in the IB Curriculum Review Committee – and he has experience of inspecting schools for the ISI too. He enjoys sport and is a rugby coach

Ed Cook is the Head of Juniors (Reception to Year 6) and has been at Holmwood House for 10 years. He is a Bachelor of Science, played National level rugby and came to Holmwood after running his own business. He has a deep love of the outdoors, especially watersports and enjoys adventures with his young family.

Miss Bethan Ashton is the Head of Pre-Prep & Reception. She has a BEd (Primary) Hons from the University of Plymouth. Miss Ashton has worked in a variety of independent schools during her years in London from girls preparatory schools to mixed co-educational day schools working specifically across the Reception to Year 3 classes. Miss Ashton has competed competitively in Powerlifting in previous years to a national level and now enjoys having the opportunity to try different sports and adventures outside of school.
