Our Vision
At Holmwood House, our vision is to inspire every individual through a lifelong curiosity for learning. To create confident, resilient and reflective young people who are ready to thrive in an ever-changing world. We believe schools are about discovery and growth—so we place curiosity at the heart of every learning journey. School Development
At Holmwood House School, we are committed to offering an education that inspires curiosity, encourages individuality, and ignites future potential. In line with our vision to provide the very best learning experience for every pupil, we have recently completed a series of exciting developments that broaden and deepen the educational journey available to our families.
Now Offering Education Up to 16: GCSEs at Holmwood House
We are delighted to now offer a full senior school education through to Year 11, with pupils working towards their GCSEs within our familiar, supportive and aspirational learning environment.
This expansion marks a significant and exciting chapter in the life of the school. It provides families with the opportunity for their children to benefit from Holmwood House’s distinctive approach to education right through to age 16. Our small class sizes, personalised teaching, and strong pastoral care continue into the senior years, where pupils follow a carefully designed curriculum that balances academic challenge with holistic development.

Preschool Expansion: Welcoming Two-Year-Olds and Year-Round Provision + Photo
Alongside developments in our senior years and to complement our Nursery at Great Horkesley, we have also expanded our onsite Preschool provision. We are now welcoming children from the age of two and offering year-round care for our youngest learners.
Set within our beautiful 25-acre site, the Preschool provides a warm, nurturing and engaging environment where curiosity is fostered from the very beginning. Led by experienced early years practitioners, children enjoy a rich programme of play-based learning, outdoor exploration and creative activities designed to support their development and ignite a lifelong love of learning.
