Lauren holds a BA (Hons) in English Literature and History and a Secondary English PGCE, alongside extensive experience as a GCSE examiner.
Her teaching approach blends academic rigour with real-world relevance — she uses diverse texts, vibrant discussions, and live performances to bring literature to life. Inspired by time spent volunteering in Uganda and by the influence of her own teachers, Lauren sees teaching as a way to share the transformative power of English. She particularly loves guiding students through whole novels, exploring the rich interplay between text and context. Her advice? Always plan, proofread, and reflect — and never underestimate the power of a well-crafted sentence.
