Resourcefulness and resilience have been been required by both staff and children as Covid and the weather provided some challenges for the Years 6&7 trip, but they have still managed to build a campsite, have fun on the beach, toboggan, climb, jump, spend a day doing water sports, make smores and watch the football!

Year 5 have worked hard on their shields this half of term which they have designed based on a fairytale, myth or legend.  They have spent a lot of the term working planning and refining their designs and then produce the final piece made of card and modroc.

The children have been very curious at Nursery this week.  We have been experimenting with ice to see how quickly it melts, making cakes, learning some building skills and we have all been exploring lots of different stories and books and then taking part in activities linked to them. It has been a busy term in the French Department and everyone has had to reflect and draw on all they had learnt  this term as they completed some fun French activities.  There has been vocabulary paintball, a French themed “pop-up” cafe, pop videos, virtual discos and a whole afternoon where France came to Holmwood!  “Le Paintball” This term Year...

This three week project was based on the theme of the term: the ‘Scented Garden’.  Year 2 had to reflect on the theme and design a garden, then using their 2D design they created a model of the garden…next stop The Chelsea Flower Show!
