Following the tremendous fundraising efforts and success of the Bright Ideas for Tennis 24 hour marathon participants, we were delighted to welcome former Davis Cup and Wimbledon tennis stars Danny Sapsford and Luke Milligan who very kindly came to run some coaching sessions for pupils on Thursday.
Danny and Luke ran three 45 minute coaching sessions for 36 children from Years 4-8, due to the high level of interest in the sessions the children were chosen at random. They made the session extremely fun and worked with the children on their ball skills, agility and balance. At the end of the sessions they left enough time for each group to ask them questions about their playing careers and the children were intrigued to hear Luke’s stories about playing Tim Henman on Centre Court at Wimbledon. The children also heard a bit about how our fundraising efforts will be put to use by the charity, so thank you to everyone who supported the tennis marathon and staff skydive.Categories: News Charity Sports
